Where do I begin?? How about THANK YOU! Thank you for being part of this old community that now has a new vision, format, and platform. I'll be adding content regularly, including using this blog space every week for members and non-members. But membership is full of benefits, as the stuff I'll be putting in the nooks and crannies of the member pages will be non-stop. Our launch here might be kind of slow, as the small details of creating a new website all seem to spring up during the last few yards. But I'll be picking up steam as these days turn into weeks, so stick around.
If you haven't a clue as to who I am, I'm Chip Conrad. I come bearing the pedigree that seems essential, if not cliche, to a project like this. 25+ years as a trainer, a gym owner for almost 2 decades, and a workshop presenter across the country. I wrote some books, made some DVDs, guested a bunch of podcasts, TV spots, and was even on the Don Ho show. I was 5, but it seems worth mentioning, for some reason.
I compete in multiple strength sports, including 2 visits to Russia for the world championships in an odd, but ancient, sport of Mas wrestling. Even at 50 years old, I still compete regularly, but that's simply to keep my strength up to be able to play and explore. I'll climb a tree or mountain before I'd lift a weight, given a preference. But I understand the benefit of lifting that weight to get better at climbing the landscape. My motto: Move in many ways, for many reasons. I'll explain a little more in this video below.
